Management is a key input to the production process and the quality of management can be crucial in determining competitiveness. 

How does the UK perform?

The International Institute for Management Development (IMD) finds that the UK is performing behind most of its main competitors (Chart 3.4) in terms of the availability and international experience of senior managers.
