NATIONAL STATISTICS - BERR - Energy Production and Consumption

	The latest national statistics on Energy Production and Consumption produced by the Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform were released on 31st July 2008 according to the arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority.
	This release includes statistics on annual production and consumption of combined heat & power, coal, electricity, gas, oil, renewables and total energy, and on energy prices. Statistics on overall energy consumption, and energy consumption in the transport, domestic, industrial and service sectors are also included.
	As part of this release an energy flow chart illustrating the flow of primary fuels from home production and imports to their eventual final uses has also been produced.
	The latest release updates the statistics previously released on 26th July 2007.
